Dear TruckVault,
Needless to say winning this beautiful 2009 FORD 4X4 truck, equipped with an Extreme All-Weather TruckVault, was one of the most exciting moments of my life!

I was planting flowers in my front yard with help from my gardener when the FedEx truck pulled up to my curb. After reading the letter (several times) from the National Sweepstakes Company advising me that I was the Grand Prize winner, I nearly passed out!

I was jumping up and down, grabbed and hugged the gardener, then as a neighbor was walking his dog by the house I grabbed and hugged him too! I can’t imagine what they both must have thought. I couldn’t even speak as I handed the letter to my neighbor to read.

I called my husband at work to tell him my great news but I could only cry. You see I am giving the truck to my husband for Christmas since his FORD truck is getting up there in years and has lots of miles on it. He is a really good guy and has had a tough last three years. After having a four-way bi-pass that went terribly wrong, he almost lost his life. He was in the hospital almost two months and has had five surgeries within three years. I quit my job to care for him so as you can imagine financially this set us back quite a bit.

He is doing pretty good now and I’m happy to be able to give him new wheels and NO truck payments! The money he gets from selling his old truck will be going to our daughter so she can get a better car.

I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for having this sweepstakes and making several people in my life very happy.

I hunt all over the country as well as all over Canada and Mexico. We hunt and travel in some very extreme conditions and we depend on our equipment to take us to the end. Just a quick note to thank you and the Truckvault team for the great product you built for my nephew Edward (left), and our two pointer labs, Peggy on the left and Sydney on the right, and me on the right.

As you know I had purchased a vault from you before in 2005 and was very impressed with the upgrades to the lock, slide, and antitheft design in this model. The dog kennel is first rate. I sent you some not so perfect drawings, after building a cardboard mock up. You guys were great at interpreting my intent and it fit perfect! The extra clearance allows for my 70 pound pointer labs to stand up with 2 inches to clear their backs. More room than the plastic crates we had before, and MUCH better ventilation than the plastic boxes which is key in the summertime heat!

I thought I would drop you a line and let you know how things are working out with the Truckvault we recently installed in our Jeep Wrangler.

As you can see from the accompanying photos this particular vehicle is a soft top, anyone with a sharp fingernail can let themselves in any time they want thereby making the interior contents easily removed.

A few years ago I wouldn’t have given a second thought to parking our highly customized corporate vehicle and walking away but times being what they are this is something I worried about considering the fact we routinely carry very expensive GPS, Laptops and camera equipment with us due to our heavy product test schedule.

I looked at other “lockable” containers made specifically for the Jeep but when the last part of a company’s name ends with “vault” it gives one pause, something I no longer do once I lock everything inside the Truckvault!

When I returned to my home in Alaska, I left it in my Tundra. Two days ago I was driving on an isolated road and hit a moose. My truck rode the guard rail for 75 feet after striking the moose, then flipped over an embankment, rolled three times, and came to rest in a tree. My dogs were in the dog box, which was ejected when the canopy sheared off. The box DID sustain some damage, but if the dogs had not been in this dog box, they would have been killed. "After a trip afield, I was returning to my home and encountered a car across the road. My options were to take a chance with the ditch or hit the person in the car. The ride in the ditch was uneventful, until the sign appeared and the ditch became a catch basin. The result, I turned my beautiful 1996 Ford Bronco on its side.
Because of my harness, I was uninjured, although scared from the ride. The wreckers came and righted my Bronco with relative ease and without doing more damage.
